Mission
Our mission is to establish a community rugby league club based in Chester. We hope to lay solid foundations that will allow the club to prosper for many years to come. In time we also hope to be able to provide local youngsters with the opportunity to experience the "greatest game" by establishing a junior section.

We have put together a five year plan to help us identify what we want to achieve. Although parts of the plan may seem ambitious we believe that they are realistic aims.

2008

  • Establish a formal club committee with defined roles and responsibilities

  • Stage a series of taster & training sessions in Chester

  • Contact local businesses regarding possible sponsorship arrangements and identify potential sources of funding

  • Investigate local facilities and identify a potential future home for the club

  • Compete in the Midlands Merit League and fulfil a minimum of two fixtures

  • 2009

  • Continue to identify funding opportunities and build links with local business community

  • Compete in the Midlands Merit League and fulfil a minimum of six fixtures

  • Expand the playing squad and continue to attract newcomers to the sport through an annual taster session

  • Identify and secure a permanent home for the club

  • 2010

  • Apply to join the Rugby League Conference regional division and complete a full season of fixtures

  • Continue to attract new players and if required investigate feasibility of establishing a second team to compete in Midlands Merit League

  • Stage a series of taster sessions with local youngsters with a view to establishing a junior section

  • 2011

  • Establish a junior section and continue to push the sport to local youngsters

  • Improve on our 2010 performance in the Rugby League Conference

  • Focus on expanding the clubs appeal to the local community and attracting new supporters

  • 2012

  • Senior team to qualify for the Rugby League Conference play-offs

  • Junior section to fulfil a minimum of three fixtures against local opposition

  • Ensure the club is on a sound financial platform to allow us to prosper for another five years

  • The above plan is not set in stone by any means however it does give us a clear outline of what our goals are. The hope is that, in five years time, the club will be in great shape on and off the field.
