Junior Gladiators meeting

Chester Gladiators are holding an informal parents meeting at 8.00 PM on Wednesday March 17th at Chester Rugby Club for children looking to take up rugby league in the region.

Coaches and club officials from the Gladiators will be on hand throughout the evening to discuss the game and answer any questions. Coaches will also go through planned training sessions and fixtures for the 2010 season.

Crusaders RL Community Rugby League Manager Matt Pritchard will also be at the meeting to discuss the Crusaders role in the community and their links with the Gladiators. The meeting is open to all so whether you are an existing player or looking to give rugby league a try, everyone is welcome to attend.

Chester Gladiators began running junior rugby in 2009 and enjoyed an encouraging season. The team have attracted players of different ages and abilities and are hoping to build on a promising first season.

“The Gladiators are delighted to have the support of the Crusaders. There has been a huge buzz throughout the region since they came to Wrexham and everyone is talking about the Crusaders. Having them here is hugely beneficial with regards to developing the support in the region,” said Juniors Coach Allen Jones.

“We had a very good 2009 and we are hoping to build on that success this season. Rugby League is a fast, exciting, action-packed sport ideally suited to juniors. We’re are always looking to recruit new players, so whether you’re child is an existing player or is looking to try the game, everyone is welcome to come to the meeting on the 17th March.”
